Second Jan's piano EP consisting entirely of instrumental tracks comes out months after his major long play release, offering the listeners the seamless transition from the synth-driven electro-pop with profound orchestral arrangements into the realm of contemporary classical piano copiously infused with analog synths and eerie soundscapes.

Four tracks were recorded at Jan's home studio during the lockdown time (in case you're reading this from the far future — there's been a pandemic in 2020, and pretty much everyone on Earth had to lock themselves inside their four walls for at least a couple of weeks in order to avoid contagion), "Before and After the Plague" being directly inspired by the uneasiness and murkiness of that peculiar period. (An attentive listener would probably also notice the harmonic reference to one of the instrumental tracks from the "From the Ground Up" LP.)

The EP includes as well the piano interpretation of the classic jazz standard "Nature Boy" written by Eden Ahbez and notoriously performed by Nat King Cole. This version, in turn, has been heavily inspired by another cover of this piece by Aurora that is inseparably intertwined with Ridley's Scott "Alien" saga and space travel — which, among other things, explains the title of the release.
