about

The new release by Jan Vaschuk is inspired by the theory of multiverse — a fairly contradictory theory that is often being frowned at by the mainstream scientists but that seems to be gaining traction in the recent time. According to this theory, there is not just one universe out there, but the infinite number of them, each full of countless worlds that might be drastically different or, on the contrary, almost identical to ours, with some slight differences that one could only notice after living there for several years. This feeling, at the same time disturbing and weirdly reassuring, sent Jan on the search for the new dissonant harmonies and resolutions. In this release, Jan decided once again to keep it purely instrumental and focus on the piano and sonic landscapes — the only way to express things that one is desperate to put into words.

about

Jan Vaschuk Berlin, Germany

Hi, my name is Jan, I'm a composer, pianist and music producer. I was a drummer in an indie band, after that I started a solo trip hop project which uncontrollably turned into a post-britpop duo as I was joined by an uber talented guitarist. Later on, I moved to Mars where I learned to play piano and started writing dance music for low-gravity worlds. It would probably be easier to just listen. ... more
